Fished yesterday for several hours for the first time on this lake. Caught 1 smallie and 3 largemouth bass. I had to work for them. I caught the smallmouth on a jerkbait off of a wind blown point and all of the largemouth came inside one of the fingers on a baby rodent next to wood. Saw some guys working a little bit deeper with jigs I think and saw them catch a couple nice bass. I couldn't catch anything over 14 inches. But it was fun for my first time on this body of water. If anyone has any tips for bass on this lake I'm all ears.

Has anyone been fishing this lake lately? I'm a used to be charter captain from WI who recently moved here. I'd like to chase some bass (smallies or large mouth) or some of the saugeyes that are down here. Any info would be greatly appreciated. You can PM me if you like.

This lake is good sized with a lot of shallow bays and inlets. I counted at least 3 boat launches, all with ample parking. Spent about 2 4-hour days and 1 8 hour day on the lake and only caught a 7" perch and a 15" Catfish, both on minnows with a bobber, nothing on artificial bait. Very few PWC and Ski boats on the lake, which made fishing nice.

3/7/2009 Fished up in the marina for crappie didn't even get a bite. Sure was a nice day to try any way. Tempeture was 74. I did hear of a 30 plus muskie being caught out of a boat on a crank bait and was confirmed by another boat that seen the catch.
